Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia will hold a concert in the sanctuary featuring Georgian chamber players.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Sept. 30, the church said the concert will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m.

According to the church’s post, in order to present masterworks from the chamber repertoire with members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and eminent guest instrumentalists, the major players of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra founded the Georgian Chamber Players in 1984.

The church said Mendelssohn's concerto for piano, violin, and strings in D minor is among the featured compositions by both him and Brahms.

Peachtree Road United Methodist Church said the price for single concert tickets whose general admission will be $20 in advance payment and $25 on the day of the concert, while for seniors $10 in advance payment and $15 on the day of the concert.

The single concert tickets will be free for students and educators, according to the church.

Meanwhile, the two concert discounts for advance payment only will be $30 for general admission and $15 for seniors, the church said.

The advance tickets will be available at www.prumc.org/music, it added.

Regular Services, Worship Session

According to the church's website, regular services start at 8:45 a.m. and at 11:15 a.m. The church said the service will run for about 60 minutes and will begin with a period of fellowship with the priest, staff, and other worshipers.

It stated that it will respect their option if they decide to keep quiet during the social event.

According to Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, music will signal the beginning of the worship service.

If they needed a private area to nurse or make phone calls, Peachtree Road United Methodist Church's volunteers can direct them to the correct location.

According to the church's website, the Sanctuary and Chapel are where most of the worship services are held.

In contrast to the regular service, which has an organ and choir, the alternate service, according to the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, includes a full band. The written bulletin is the traditional method of following the service, despite the availability of screens.

It gives everyone the freedom to wear whichever they choose clothes to wear. The church claims that while people usually wear their "Sunday finest" for sanctuary services, they keep it casual everywhere else.

While neither is required, the church continued, they nonetheless want everyone to be aware of what to expect so that they feel at ease.

The restrooms are down the hall, and each place of worship has a gathering space, according to the church.

Guiding Children

According to the church, they are glad to help kids develop their faith in a way that is enjoyable and easy to understand.

Additionally, it is also recommended that they provide care and programming for all kids from six weeks to fifth grade on Sundays, just a text message or a short walk away, as well as a special facility and program for teenagers from middle and high schools.

The church said Peachtree Road values children, feeds them and treats them like MVPs.
