Caring, Secure Atmosphere

The Shallowford Presbyterian School's mission, according to its website, is to "nurture the whole child by accepting uniqueness and developing an intellectual, spiritual, and social foundation."

According to the school's website, it serves toddlers to fifth graders.

It further said that the Shallowford Presbyterian School provides a caring, secure environment in which each child is respected.

The Shallowford Presbyterian School has educated thousands of children over the past 50 years, many of whom have returned to enroll their children.

In the 2021-2022 school year, the Presbyterian school will add a sixth grade. According to the school's website, the school plans to add a grade each year until it reaches the eighth grade.

The Presbyterian school's priority, according to the school, is the health and safety of its pupils and employees.

Grade school students returned to campus on Aug. 17. According to the school, parents are urged to visit the school's website to learn about the school's plan to continue in-person instruction in a secure manner.

School Admission

According to the school, pupils must be the class age they have registered for before Sept. 1.

The school said parents who registered more than one child would apply the earliest timestamp for all children in the family as long as they are no more than ten minutes apart.

Parents are encouraged to apply for each child separately, according to the guidelines.

They would also be notified through email once the class has been confirmed. The school indicated that existing families would be notified before Jan. 30, and non-current families would be notified on or after Jan. 30.

According to the school, a non-refundable registration fee of $150 per kid is due within 24 hours (or one business day) of email confirmation.

The confirmation email will include instructions on how to pay the cost. It said that registration is not complete unless the fee is paid.

The school said that a non-refundable May 2022 tuition prepayment is required by May 2021 or upon registration (applied to May 2022 tuition).

The first day of preschool, according to the school's website, was Sept. 7, 2021.

Looking for Teachers

Teachers for the Shallowford Presbyterian School's toddler courses are needed.

Shallowford Presbyterian School posted on Facebook on Saturday, Sept. 11, looking for extra teachers who can teach toddler programs for two to four days.

Because good quality teachers have yet to be hired, the school has postponed the start of classes.

According to the post, the Presbyterian school is looking for teachers with a passion for children who want to be a part of a half-day preschool ministry.

It emphasized that the position is ideal for a parent with school-aged children looking for part-time employment that allows them to be available after school.

According to the school, the task might also fill a portion of their day.

A retired educator who still wants to work with children but not full-time may be a good fit for this post.
