New Prospect Baptist Church to help provide public services with Hamilton County's Relief

New Prospect Baptist Church will work with Hamilton County’s 513 Relief Bus on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The church’s Facebook page announced that the New Prospect’s Village ministry will do the partnership to offer their community access to health screenings, social services, and financial help.

They added that the 513 Relief Bus is a one-stop mobile bus to campaign against COVID-19 and other health and economic issues affecting the marginalized individuals in communities. 

Besides, they posted that their partnership is destroying hindrances like access, transportation, and technology. They said they look forward to reaching as many people living in their community as possible. 

About 513 Relief Bus

The 513 Relief Bus website revealed that Hamilton County Commissioners pioneered that initiatives to offer resources directly to those living in their communities. They noted that they use the community-based approach to achieve the goal of 513 Relief Bus.

In addition, they explained that it is a bus that offers medical and social assistance. They emphasized that the bus is geared with technology to provide various services. 

The website said that it offers healthcare services and vaccinations. They also guide residents in enrolling in relief programs. Also, they mentioned that the 513 Relief Bus is always a secure place for the people in Hamilton County.

In another section, the Hamilton County Commissioners noted that they started the 513 Relief initiative at the pandemic's peak. They explained that they aim to connect the residents with the different federal, state, and local programs to help families find stability in challenging situations.

As further mentioned, the commissioners wanted to ensure that vulnerable people could access these resources. 

Relief Programs for Small Business

Another section posted that the organization offers assistance for small businesses through its Small Business Relief Program. They explained that they wanted to ensure that they supported small businesses in Hamilton County. 

They emphasized that they want to ensure these businesses can survive amidst the pandemic. The website highlighted that the COVID-19 Small Business Resource Hub would assist people in using their resources for people in industries.

In addition, they mentioned that they work with local chambers, jurisdictions, and economic development partners.

The website emphasized that the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners provided about $14 million in federal relief funds for 1,400 small business owners during COVID-19.

According to them, they offered up to $10,000 for eligible small businesses. They added that Hamilton County’s Small Business Grant funded more than two-thirds of the small business. 

Food Assistance

Aside from the 513 Relief Bus, the website highlighted that they provide food assistance to their communities. 

The other webpage stated that Hamilton County Commissioners work with a network of community partners such as the government, nonprofits, and faith-based groups. Their collaboration allows them to offer food assistance, as the website mentions.

As further posted, they respond to individuals who have immediate needs and also those who need help for the long term. They said the organization studies each group and saw the solution for each condition.

The Hamilton County Commissioners emphasized that the needs of the marginalized people in the community may be both short-term and long-term relief.
