LGBTQ Nation recently published an article about Jonathan Shelley, the anti-LGBTQ pastor from Stedfast Baptist Church, talking about Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is running for reelection this year.

Pastor Jonathan Shelley said Marjorie Taylor Greene is not a leader in making the United States a better country and added that he is not voting for any women in politics.

Then, the anti-LGBTQ pastor encouraged his audience not to vote for women to lead the country. Shelly said that there are no women who could lead the nation toward success. Also, he talked about the leadership of the current president of the United States, Joe Biden. Then Pastor Jonathan Shelley turned his sermon to men.

Shelley Said Male Leaders Are Coward

Pastor Jonathan Shelley raged men leaders in the country. He stated men are pivotal to making the United States a better nation. The pastor claimed that today’s leaders do not dominate in leadership compared to women. Shelly gave a piece of advice to men and pastors. He said they need to lead women.

Renowned Anti-LGBTQ

Stedfast Baptist Church is well known as a parish spreading hate against members of the LGBTQ community. A few months earlier, the church faced ousting from the community, which led them to move to their current location.

Anti-LGBTQ preacher Jonathan Shelley preached a sermon about the death of gay people. Pink News published an article about his hatred-filled oration in March.

According to Pink News, Shelley claimed God does not welcome members of the LGBTQ in His kingdom. Also, the report included the eviction of Stedfast Baptist Church in its previous location in Hurst, Texas.

The anti-LGBTQ church started under the leadership of its former pastor Donnie Romero. Shelley became the pastor of the church after authorities put Romero behind bars.

Another Pastor Preached Hatred-Filled Sermon Against Group

A couple of months earlier, Pastor Dillon Awes followed a sermon against the LGBTQ community. The discourse, Why We Won’t Shut Up, stormed individuals who celebrated Pride Month, NBC News reported.

Dillon Awes from Stedfast Baptist Church said the country should not accept the LGBTQ community in its soils. It was because they were a threat, Awes said.

Then, he said there should be a law against its members because they were sinners. They should lead to their extinction, Awes added. His sermon earned backlash on social media.

Despite criticism, Pastor Jonathan Shelley stood up against supporters of gay people. He said Pride Month was where people got diseases and AIDS, Newsweek reported.

Recent Anti-LGBTQ Sermon

According to the report of LGBTQ Nation, earlier this month, Pastor Dillon Awes raged against women who serve in the ministry. He said God did not allow them to spread His teachings.

Awes claimed women were degrading themselves when they talked about the word of God. Awes and Jonathan Shelley were against the leadership of women. The Southern Poverty Law Center marked Stedfast Baptist Church as an extreme-anti LGBTQ congregation in Texas.
