Montclair's Interfaith Federal Credit Union announced its completion of a $16-million merger with Holston Methodist Federal Credit Union in Tennessee.

According to the Interfaith Federal Credit Union's statement, the merger was already completed as of September 30, 2021. However, both credit unions will continue to operate independently until Holston Methodist FCU's member accounts are transferred to the Interfaith FCU system on March 31, 2022.

Any modifications will be made smoothly and with plenty of notice, which is their desire and dedication to their client.

Expanding Their Services To Serve Better

The Interfaith FCU also revealed that by April 2022, the company expects to have expanded significantly, with better online and mobile app access to your accounts, offices in four different time zones to better serve their customers and more offers.

"We are delighted to welcome the members of Holston Methodist FCU to our Interfaith credit union family. This merger provides greatly expanded services and access to the members of Holston Methodist FCU, including the CO-OP network of ATMs and shared branching, extensive online services including mobile banking apps, 24/7 member service, and so much more," said President and CEO of Interfaith Federal Credit Union Ramon Noperi, as quoted in the report.

Noperi also added that they are excited to serve their new members for many years to come by offering them faith-based products and services.

For more than 70 years, they have dedicated themselves to serving the financial needs of Methodists.

As stated on its website, since its humble origins in Charles Sheline's home in Montclair, California, in 1948, the company has expanded to include four satellite branches offering superior financial products and services throughout the United States.

Thousands of people and organizations value faith-based financial services, which makes this blessing possible.

Their Board of Directors saw a new name that reflected their multi-denominational membership and their desire to be more inclusive in 2020, inspired by these new relationships.

As a member-owned financial cooperative, Interfaith Federal Credit Union embraces and celebrates the wide range of religious beliefs that exist. Members become a part of something much bigger than their own local ministry can ever hope to be by joining the ministry.

They think that when people of different faiths come together in harmony and cooperation, they can make a big difference in creating a world where no one is left behind.
