Presbyterian Church (USA)

The Presbyterian Church (USA) is a denomination that follows the Presbyterian beliefs as articulated by John Calvin. These beliefs include the sovereignty of God, the priesthood of all believers, and the authority of the scripture, to name a few.

These fundamental beliefs put God as the supreme authority of the universe, and that salvation through Jesus is His gift to the community.

The denomination's beliefs are in "The Book of Confessions."

Beyond its Theology, the church believes that it is made up of individuals, and it is up to the church to speak on social and moral issues for its members.

The church's General Assembly is vocal on matters such as abortion, alcohol, education, gun violence, and capital punishment, to name a few.

According to its page, the church has been answering the call of Jesus Christ to spread God's Word and be His witness to the world.

The organization follows this through its Presbyterian Mission Agency, the ministry, and mission agency of the denomination.

Through it, the denomination assists and equips members of the church worldwide to accomplish the mission provided by Jesus. It creates congregations, worshipping communities, councils, and more to add to the ever-growing denomination.
