The Houston megachurch pastor, Joel Osteen, has recently preached at the 'Come Home to Hope Event,’ held in New York City, which reportedly gathered thousands of Christians across the country.

'New Beginning'

According to an article from The Christian Post, Joel Osteen, alongside his wife, Victoria Osteen, hosted the event on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Yankee Stadium in New York City.

Victoria described the 'Come Home to Hope Event’ as a 'new beginning' for the church after its more than three year-hiatus since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event was reportedly designed for people who lost hope and faith to renew their faith in the Lord.

Lakewood Church Ptr. Joel Osteen has given scriptures at the event to emphasize that through difficult times, people should be more faithful and patient, for it reveals the power of God to His people, as reported.

Also, the report called the preaching of the pastor 'timely,' for it tackled the importance of faithfulness of the people in the middle of chaos.

As reported, Pastor Osteen's message was about being strong despite the people's challenges and struggles, especially during the pandemic.

Moreover, Victoria reminded the people that it is necessary to renew their faith in the Lord. If not, they would just be the ones to suffer from their own thoughts, problems, and challenges in life, as reported.

Victoria added that all people are experiencing problems and challenges. Thus, all they just have to do is to change their views in life in order to survive.

Additionally, the event featured local pastors who shared their success stories, from facing struggles to different phases through believing and renewing their faith in God, as reported.

Thousands of attendees reportedly came to the 'Come Home to Hope Event,' and most cried and raised their hands as a symbol of worship in certain parts of the event.

The Osteens spent their visit for the 1st non-baseball event at the stadium in 2009 and had the 'A Night of Hope' in 2014 at the Yankee Stadium, as well.

About Ptr. Joel Osteen

As per their website, Ptr. Joel Osteen is the church leader of the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

The pastor has been leading the church since 1999 after his father passed away.

According to the page, Osteen had never imagined that he would be a pastor and would be the one who would take the steps of his parents as the church leaders, for he was into television production, media, and business, as reported.

His father would always encourage him to speak in the ministry, but he would always refuse because he believed that his experiences were not suitable for the ministry.

However, when his father passed away, Pastor Osteen had to continue the leadership at Lakewood Church. His wife, Victoria, then spearheaded the leadership staff of the church, as well.

In addition, the community of the Lakewood Church has reportedly become diverse by reaching many communities through its programs and its international media broadcast.
