Horizon West Church in Winter Garden, Florida, will hold its services to a new location. The church announced that starting Sunday, Oct. 17, its worship services took place at Horizon High School.
New Location
In a report with Orange Observer, the church first announced the changed location on Sept. 23. Horizon West also offered online worship services for those who could not attend its in-person services.
According to the church's official website, service times occur every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
The church's new location at Horizon High School can be found at 10393 Seidel Road in Winter Garden.

Meanwhile, Horizon West Church also offers midweek programming at Oasis Campus 607 Avalon Road in Winter Garden.
As per its website, the church had its origins in 2004 when Oasis Church acquired nine acres of land at 607 Avalon Rd. At the time, the latter church was in Pine Hills before it moved to Winter Garden.
In 2013, William and Shiloh Karshima became the pastors of Oasis Church. The couple would help transition the church into an interdenominational and multi-ethnic church.
Horizon West Church, a campus of First Baptist Orlando, began holding its Sunday services at Sunridge Middle School in Winter Garden in 2018.
At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Horizon West Church became displaced. The Baptist church began holding its Saturday night services at the Oasis Church campus.
As reported, William Karshima then talked to Chris Ogden, West Horizon Church's pastor, and proposed that both congregations merge into one church.
To seal their agreement, the congregations held a joint Christmas Eve service later that year.
Church's Beliefs
According to the church's website, Horizon West Church offers weekend programming for children.
Chris and Nikki Ogden are the current campus pastors of Horizon West Church.
The church believes in the acceptance of the Bible and understanding its importance, and obeying its truths.
Members of the church are reportedly eager to teach Scriptures to other people to serve and worship God.
Horizon West Church also teaches 66 books of the combined Old and New Testaments to its members. They believe that God inspired those who wrote the Bible.
The church is also convinced that the salvation of mankind is "God's gift."
For them, sinners and the lost can only achieve it through faith in Christ. The church believes that God knows who will be saved.
Serving Church
The church invites its members to join them to serve in its worship and production teams. Those who are part of this team are in charge of instruments or are part of the choir.
Horizon West Church also offers a mentorship program to students at SunRidge Middle School. Mentors meet with their assigned students every week.
The goal of the program is to help create a safe space for the students. During the discussions, the students are encouraged to share their experiences and foster lasting relationships. Mentors are also tasked to give their life experiences to the students.
Students and their mentors meet every Wednesday. These meetings could be done either virtually or in person.
