The You Are My Light Foundation and Trust (YAML) will soon hold its second annual 'First-Class Live–Life–Free Gala & Fundraiser' gathering. The event will reportedly take place on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Sheraton Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Florida.

Bringing Awareness to Human Trafficking

In a report with Global News Wire, the event aims to bring awareness to the sufferings of human trafficking victims and survivors.

Guests will gather at the event to raise funds of up to $1 million to support the construction of the organization's first-ever center for healing.

As explained, the center will be located at remote facilities. The buildings aim to bring resources and financial support to the victims and survivors of human and sex trafficking.

According to the report, many of those who are rescued are victims of forced labor.

Hosts, Guests

International speaker Orly Amor will reportedly lead the event. She will be joined by her board members: Trish Perry, Dr. Andrea Adams-Miller, Antoinette Rozean, Catharine O'Leary, and Tomas Diebold.

Amor is also known around the world for her business acumen as well as her motivational books.

Saul Escudero will also host the fundraising event's silent and live auction.

Guests will be entertained by live music, as well as a DJ.

Beverly Hills' Jason Sisneros and Craig Shelly are also expected to attend the event.

Tickets for the event will be priced at $500. There are also tables available for groups of eight for $3,000.

Empowering Survivors

According to its website, the nonprofit is a faith-based organization that empowers survivors of human trafficking.

The nonprofit also aims to help these victims of sex and labor slavery reclaim their God-given dignity.

Amor was also a victim of abuse but chose not to let her past define her. She overcame her trauma and became a self=made businesswoman and social media influencer.

She wanted to empower these survivors of human trafficking to be their best selves. Amor understands the trauma many of these victims experience.

According to the report, the YAML centers are more than ordinary safe houses for survivors. These facilities offer help and services to these victims without discrimination.

"YAML Foundation is building the first healing center of its kind to serve the exact conditions that society and other facilities are rejecting them for," Amor said.

Not Alone

According to the website, founder Orly Amor was a victim of abuse. She established YAML as a response to those survivors of human trafficking and sex and slave labor.

She explained that while she might not have been a victim of human trafficking, she knew what it was like to undergo abuse.

Amor recalled the times when her voice was silenced and how she longed to cry out but was never heard. She explained that she wanted to give those who have been silenced the power to speak out.

As someone who overcame her trauma and wounds, she encouraged these survivors and assured them that they were not alone.

It was her faith that kept her strong in her sufferings. She wanted to reach out to these survivors who were experiencing trauma.

Amor assured them of her support.
