Faith Lutheran Church (FLC) in Castro Valley, CA offers programs for children, youth, and families for the congregation and the community.

Programs for Everyone

The congregation of Faith Lutheran Church is made up of families, which is why the church believes it is so vital to offer opportunities for families to explore their faith, learn about God, grow, and have fun together.

According to the church, they provide activities on Sundays as well as during the week for people of all ages, including children, teenagers, and friends.

Children and young people aged three years and up through those in their 12th grade are encouraged to participate.

On Sunday mornings, according to the church's post, classes for children and adults are held at the same location as the worship services beginning at 10 a.m.

Also, students will participate in a lively Bible lecture with their classmates that has been tailored expressly for their age bracket.

Lessons could include making music or crafts, telling stories, drawing, or writing creatively or reflecting on what they have written.

Every week, FLC tells a Bible story as part of their Wonderful Wednesdays program and helps the youth connect the lesson of the story to their everyday life through activities such as writing, acting out plays, making crafts, and playing games.

They develop their relationship with Christ and make new friends in an atmosphere that is compassionate, enjoyable, and encouraging to them.

Annual Programs

The First Holy Communion is for all kids whose parents wish for them to start communing and are welcome to attend the class.

As per the post, children and their parents who are interested in taking part in Holy Communion are invited to attend this session in order to receive some basic guidance on how to do so.

The pastor and the parents are the ones who make arrangements for the class gatherings.

Meanwhile, Vacation Bible Day Camp that they offer typically takes place in the middle of July.

FLC provides two different programs: one is a half-day program for preschoolers who are at least three years old and runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the other is a full-day program for elementary school students that runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
