Grace Church Fremont in California began its preparation for the Advent season through holiday events for the community.

Preparing for Advent Season

Grace Church Fremont said it would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to the community to join them in commemorating and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ every Sunday during the Advent season. 

By taking part in the Christmas Gift for Jesus offering, Grace Church Fremont intends to serve Jesus as the center of the Christmas celebrations they are planning.

According to the church’s post, Compassion Network, American Educational Development in Sri Lanka, Real Options Clinic, and Iglesias del Oeste will all benefit from this year's offering, which will be given to support these organizations.

The primary focus of Compassion Network is to link the volunteers and resources of more than fifty different local congregations with the many needs in the community. 

They strive to fulfill more than 29,000 requests for free services each year without the assistance of their network of interested volunteers.

With this year’s offerings, they are going to help American Educational Development provide for the essentials of life by digging a well for them so that they can have access to clean water and by assisting them in planting a garden so that they can have access to food.

Each project to create a livelihood has a cost of $1,500 and will assist in providing essentials for a considerable amount of time in the future.

Aside from this, it will also be of use to the Real Options Pregnancy Clinic, which helps tens of thousands of people every year, including students, children, and adults of all ages.

As per the post, during the holiday season, Grace Church anticipates and relies on an increase in the number of donations received. 

The ability to continue their work both now and during the rest of the year is directly attributable to the contributions made by each individual and family that is a part of the congregation.
