The Heart of the Bay Christian Center recently posted an invitation to celebrate its Hallelujah Party on Oct. 31 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Hallelujah Party

According to the church’s events page, they invite everyone to celebrate their Hallelujah Party on Sunday, Oct. 31, during the 10:00 a.m. service. The event organizers also remind participants that it will be a mask-required event.

As per the same post, the church also encourages participants to dress up in their most church-appropriate costumes and prepare to have fun. They also urged participants to expect to have a terrific day with religious tales, games, and laughter with friends, as well as excellent take-home gift bags.

Heart of the Bay Christian Center

On their official page, the Heart of the Bay Christian Center grew out of a group of individuals gathering since the fall of 1977. This congregation was in desperate need of a pastor in 1982. Thousands of miles away, Mark and Brenda Thomas, a Minnesota couple, felt a deep calling in their hearts to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area and start a church.

The same page revealed that on Jul. 4, 1982, Mark and Brenda Thomas became leaders of that little community, answering the prayers of that group of individuals. The church began to outgrow its current location and moved to the old Marina High School in San Leandro.

However, land development forced them to relocate once more, as per the same post. They relocated to Sunset Elementary School, where they created their Sanctuary. After several years there, Pastors Mark and Brenda and their staff decided it was time to search for a permanent place for Heart of the Bay.

The post continued to reveal that Pastor Mark was alerted one day that a movie theater on a major road in Hayward was about to go on the market. He had a gut feeling that this land would be ideal for Heart of the Bay.

According to the post, Pastors Mark and Brenda, the church employees, and the members leaped faith in 2003 when they purchased the site. They had their first service in their location in August 2007 after remodeling the structure. Through the services, classes, and volunteer activities, many lives have been transformed. These activities showcased the love of God and their zeal for the faith.

The post also mentioned that the mission of the Heart of the Bay Christian Center is to help people come face to face with the nature of God and His love for people. They are devoted to God, His Word, and His people.

The post said that for the church, God is the reason why church members come together as a faith community and that their lives are changed significantly. They believe that God has a unique plan for every one of them, and they are dedicated to figuring out what that plan is.

The post continued to say that their services include worship, praise, and preaching from God's Word, which is at the heart of everything they do. Each service provides an excellent opportunity to lay a strong foundation in God's Word.
