Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley (UUCB) in California will host its holiday fair once again on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Holiday Fair 2022
UUCB said it is looking forward to seeing what things or services people will offer for this year's silent auction at the Holiday Fair 2022. It added the Social Hall would be filled with holiday decorations, crafts, and recycled presents for sale.
The church expressed its joy at the prospect of being able to organize this lovely event once more in 2022.
According to the church’s announcement, General Fund, which is supported by the proceeds from the holiday fair, will use to help fund important programs at UUCB such as the Adult and Children's Music Programs.
Aside from this, the Social Justice projects, such as the "Tiny Houses" for homeless youth, environmental justice efforts, and The Family Ministry programs for developing the children and youth will also benefit from the fair.
Per the announcement, Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley recommended that individuals get in touch with a member of their staff in order to fill out a signup form if they were able to give materials and/or their time to assist in the production of this joyous yearly event.
Craftsmen have the option of setting up a table at which they can display and sell their works and divide the proceeds with UUCB.
Annual Food Drive
The Richmond Emergency Food Pantry will benefit from the annual food drive that will be held by UUCB and will come to a conclusion on Sunday, Dec. 11.
According to the church’s post, currently, the pantry provides food to approximately 300 families each and every week. The goal for this year is to exceed the 3,600 dollars and 1,000 pounds that they gave to charity the previous year.
They intend to have the young people perform the task of weighing the food and then loading it into a caravan of automobiles in order to transport it to the pantry on the same day.
The post also stated that donations of money can also be sent in the form of checks, cash, or through online.
On the same day, UUCB will have a jar available to take monetary donations in the form of cash and checks. Any donations that are made before that time can be sent through mail or placed in the donation boxes located at UUCB.
