About this event

Due to the extensive wait list for the #DVFinSTL event, we have relocated the October 12 "Conversation with Diane" to Graham Chapel at Washington University.

Although the chapel has more than doubled our seating capacity, we are still unable to accommodate the overwhelming requests. As we get closer to the date, we will apprise you of any additional seating for those who remain on the waitlist.

PLEASE NOTE: Ms. von Furstenberg's October 12 presentation will be recorded and shared with the community.

For those interested in her life and work, there is still ample space to attend the DVF Trunk on October 11 (Noon - 6:00 p.m.) and October 12 (10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) at the Contemporary Art Museum, 3750 Washington Avenue, 63108. Please click here to RSVP.

Doors open at 5 p.m.

The conversation begins at 5:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. RSVPs are required.

Speaking of Fashion: A Conversation with Diane von Furstenberg

Saint Louis Fashion Fund is proud to welcome the legendary Diane von Furstenberg to St. Louis on Wednesday, October 12, for a conversation about her illustrious career, life lessons, the fashion industry today, its challenges, and her philanthropy to empower women. Her talk will take place in the Steinberg Auditorium at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis.

Diane von Furstenberg is an iconic fashion leader known for her commitment to women's empowerment and inclusivity. In 1974, Diane took the world by storm, creating her signature wrap dress design. Now, Ms. von Furstenberg's brand DVF is recognized as a global luxury lifestyle brand encompassing complete ready-to-wear collections and accessories. Cognizant of her profound legacy and impact, the Council of Fashion Designers of America elected Ms. von Furstenberg as the organization's president in 2006. In her role as CFDA President, Diane helped to establish the Design Piracy Prohibition Act, which protects designers from counterfeit reproductions of their work. Ms. von Furstenberg continues to steer her fashion influence and work to contribute to the advancement of humanity.

Special guests attending the event include native St. Louisans: former Head of Fashion and Beauty of YouTube and New York Times best-selling author Derek Blasberg.

"Speaking of Fashion" is a series of talks featuring industry professionals in fashion and business. Saint Louis Fashion Fund hosts the series.

"A conversation with Diane von Furstenberg" is presented in partnership with Caleres, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, and Cheree Berry Paper & Design.
