First Christian Church gave more reasons for its community to come together and feel the Christmas spirit during its Annual Christmas Bazaar Event. Last Saturday, Nov. 20, the bazaar returned to First Christian Church after more than a year in hiatus.

Eighth Annual Christmas Bazaar

As reported on Columbia Missourian, the last Annual Christmas Bazaar was before the pandemic happened. More than 460 community members and friends attended.

The event organizer Brenda Mosby was hopeful that this year's bazaar would have an even bigger turnout.

First Christian Church was all set and decorated for the Yuletide Season. The Annual Christmas Bazaar took place in a large white room beaming with the holiday spirit. The organizer prepared tables for the vendors.

The Annual Christmas Bazaar features items for sale, including clothes, jewelry, Christmas decorations, and baked goodies. Columbian Missourian also reported that the event features local products and businesses.

MyTurn was among the small businesses that participated in the Annual Christmas Bazaar. Its owner Cliff Judy told Columbian Missourian that the event was unbelievable; locally made stuff filled the venue.

Cliff and his wife, Judy's business, is a clothing brand. He shared that he uses an artist for St. Louis and a Columbia printer, for it's important to him that his business supports local suppliers.

The event attracted all ages. One of those tasked to work in the event every year is 19 – year old Maddie. She expressed the joy this Annual Christmas Bazaar brings to her, along with the peacefulness that comes with it.

Maddie thinks it is cool and exciting to see various creations from some people she knows.

Meanwhile, another vendor, Linda Chandler, sold handmade Christmas decorations that included wreaths, baskets, and candy canes. Its organizer, Brenda Mosby, worked on her stand selling hand–made jewelry.

She also described the Annual Christmas Bazaar as an event "for the community."
