St. John's Lutheran Church holds a support group for anger management for teens at Care Connections, 3579 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold.

The seminar runs on Wednesdays, which began on Aug. 10 and will be held until Sept. 14. Participants meet from 4:30 p.m. up to 5:30 p.m.

Anger Management Support

St. John's Lutheran Church encouraged all teens who may be experiencing difficulties with managing their anger. The church announced through its Facebook page that it is holding a support group for anger management for teens aged 13-18.

The event is a free six-week support group and happens on Wednesdays. Participants began meeting on Aug. 10 at Care Connections.

Anger Management Support is helping participants to cope healthy with their anger and discover strategies to manage it.

It also includes topics such as the roots of anger, emotional triggers, and consequences of anger. St. John's Lutheran Church provided an email address for any question or if one wants to register.

Care Connections

According to its Facebook page, Care Connections serves as a resource for those residing in Jefferson County, Missouri. It is a non-profit organization.

The organization aims to help individuals become a better version of themselves through the resources it offers.

Furthermore, it works to empower its community and the members of St. John's Lutheran Church and School.

Care Connections accomplishes its mission by connecting people to the necessary resources and support.

Moreover, it offers support groups and counseling to anyone in crisis.

It organizes a Foam Party for all kids and welcomes kids in foster care. Foam Party will happen on Aug. 26, Friday, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran School located at 3511 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold.

Foam Party is a free drop-off event. Care Connections will provide pizza and snacks during the Foam Party. The organization requested all coming to bring a change of clothes.

About St. John's Lutheran Church

The church exists to honor and glorify the Lord by following Jesus' command to make disciples of all people. Service time on Saturday is at 5 p.m.

Services happen on Sundays at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 10:50 a.m. As per its website, St. John's Lutheran Church and School were established in 1848.

Family Night for St. John's happens this Aug.13. The church encouraged families to join them at the Gateway Grizzlies baseball game at 6:45 p.m.

According to the church, tickets are $15, excluding food, and kids under two years old are free. Anyone interested in attending the Family Night should register by Thursday, Aug. 11.

The church also announced the Backpack Blessings through the same website. It invited all children and you to bring their backpacks to church during any worship service on Aug. 20-21.

All who bring their backpacks will receive customized bling and a blessing for the new school year. No registration is needed.
