The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Bible Course Grader (Part-Time) for the Southern Territory Headquarters, located in Atlanta, Georgia.
Job Summary
Reads interpret and grades Bible lessons for the Correctional Services Program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of The Salvation Army's mission and philosophy. Ability to grade Bible lessons in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to serve as an example of Salvationism and Christian stewardship and demonstrate an interest in the spiritual well-being of all Bible lesson students. Ability to conduct all activities of the position to accomplish the Army's fundamental purpose of proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, which must be expressed in both the message revealed and the ministry of service performed. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required and One year of experience conducting Bible school lessons or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Be able to move around by themself and perform the required task of grading within a reasonable time. Working Conditions: Works is performed in a typical office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or pains associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like
