The Christ For All Nations Church in Orlando hosted Wednesday’s food giveaway that benefited several hundred community members.
According to a report by Click Orlando, the church led the food distribution sponsored by One Heart for Women and Children and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Organizers eyed at least 400 families as beneficiaries for the food drive.
Antioch Missionary Baptist Church had successfully annexed the Boston Hill Cemetery, a historically Black cemetery in Oviedo, Florida.
According to Click Orlando, Antioch launched its petition to annex the cemetery in 2022. The petition was put to the vote, and local leaders approved the annexation of the cemetery on Monday.
The Diocese of Orlando will hold on March 18 the “In Your Hands: A Conference on Healing and Awareness of Suicide” at the Holy Family Parish at 5125 S. Apopka-Vineland Rd.
According to a post by The Florida Catholic, the one-day conference will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m.
A delegation comprised of 15 groups from the Catholic Diocese of Orlando met with state lawmakers from March 7 to 9 at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee. The event was called Catholic Days at the Capitol.
