Position Title: Church Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Position Purpose
The Church Administrative Assistant is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day administrative operations of the church and also working with leaders and staff to achieve the organization’s objectives. The Church Administrative Assistant must be detail-oriented, possess a high emotional IQ, and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an organized system of receiving, sorting, highlighting, and prioritizing incoming communication (phone, mail, e-mail, etc.)
- Managing daily operations and maintaining office supplies as needed
- Manage church event calendar
- Assist with coordinating, planning, and executing church events
- Assist with internal and external church communications
- Assisting with scheduling meetings, renting church equipment and facilities, and enforcing church policies for facility use
- Attend meetings, take notes, and disseminate information accordingly to staff, leaders, and church community as needed
- Responsible for executive administrative task execution from the executive leadership team, excluding but not limited to scheduling and meeting preparation for weekly DLT meetings
- Review all administrative systems that currently exist and provide feedback for areas that can be enhanced, changed, or removed
Skills and Qualifications
- Flexible schedule to potentially include evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize, and multitask
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of computers and proficiency in software programs, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, database systems and use of the internet; Ability and willingness to learn new computer systems quickly
- Must be dependable, respectful, self-motivated, adaptable, efficient, and personable
- Must be able to fit into the Victory Church culture and the church DNA
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Administrative Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
