The Community Development Coordinator will be gifted in organizational leadership and administration. This person will mobilize and empower members for short and long-term effectiveness locally and worldwide. This person will be a ‘ministry strategist,’ who is progress and results-oriented and capable of turning ideas into action.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an annual community impact plan with specific strategies, goals, and objectives
- Curate and/or develop focused local and global mission partnerships and experiences that will mobilize EBC to address our community and global needs.
- Evaluate existing and potential partnerships
- Develop environments and opportunities to inform, challenge, and motivate others in local and global missions. These may include social media, in-person or virtual classes, or church-wide conferences
- Be a resource and influence staff for evangelism, outreach, and local mission churchwide
- Oversee and build relationships with local mission agencies that we support (e.g., The Donna Center, Family Heritage, MHFH, etc.)
- Partner with the Discipleship team to create and implement initiatives for community impact
- Create dynamic events to attract visitors and reach out to the surrounding community
- Maintain relationships with local schools and staff
- Tell the story of EBC’s impact through stories, testimonies, and vision casting
- Lead and serve in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration with the entire leadership of the church (Executive Staff, Core Lay Leaders, etc.)
- Assist in evaluating the local strategy to fulfill the mission of the church
- Equip members to share Jesus without fear
- Select, enlist, and train leaders
- Administer and manage the approved budget.
- Supervise appropriate volunteers as needed.
- Keep informed on methods, materials, principles, procedures, promotion, and administration related to evangelism/mission.
- Implement a marketing strategy that effectively markets the evangelism and mission division, educates the congregation, and maximizes the church’s efforts in this area.
- Develops and maintains a solid and productive relationship with both print and electronic media
- Be the communication liaison for mission team members and volunteers
- Schedule, organize and facilitate mission team meetings and training
Skills/Requirements:
- 4+ years’ ministry experience
- Masters degree in Ministry (MAM), preferably a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) or Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree. Have a strong understanding of discipleship and ministry
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Canva, and Excel
- Strong technology capabilities, capable of working with databases and programs
- Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain calmness when under pressure
- Exceptional communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
- A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ
- Passionate disciple of Christ- devoted to God’s Word, His Church, and His people
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
