Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·* Dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and food service areas*

·* Damp or wet mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, clean windows and blinds,*

·* Cleans and maintains classrooms, stairways, hallways, lobbies, kitchen, etc.*

·* Maintains housekeeping storage closets, tools, and equipment in an orderly manner*

·* Adheres to housekeeping standards*

·* Responds to work request in an effectively and timely manner*

·* Performs scheduled and emergency building and ground maintenance*

·* Operates and maintains power equipment used in building and ground maintenance*

·* Has a good understanding of commercial cleaning chemicals, equipment and supplies*

·* Check calendar and handle room set-ups and takedowns*

·* Maintains inventory*

·* Basic knowledge of electrical issues*

·* Check and change light bulbs*

·* Assist with loading and unloading of supplies.*

·* Must have a working knowledge of city, state and federal building regulations*

·* Opens and secures building; ensure doors are unlocked and locked when not in use*

·* Performs other related duties as assigned*

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

·* Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.*

·* Detail-oriented and thorough.*

·* Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.*

·* Ability to keep the church clean and orderly.*

·* Ability to interact with staff, members, and visitors at church while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.*

·* Education and/or Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required with at least 1-3 years of experience in building maintenance and/or cleaning environment.*

·* Language Skills: Fluency in English.*

·* A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.*

·* Basic Computer Skills Desired*

·* Mathematical Skills: Basic math.*

Reasoning Ability: Excellent communication skills. Willingness and ability to problem solve. Brings resolution to basic maintenance concerns. Displays a keen sense of customer service. Ability to work independently.

Employment Standards & Conditions:

Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
