Full Job Description
Peachtree Presbyterian Church is seeking a Digital / Social Media Content Creator to join our Creative team. We are seeking a self-motivated team player, with a strong background in digital and a passionate ability to craft great stories and content. The successful candidate will understand and implement current best practices and strategies for existing and evolving platforms, while developing new and innovative opportunities to communicate Peachtree’s story.
This position will report directly to the Creative and Communications Director, but will also work closely with the Art Director and other team members to ensure consistent excellence of message, design, and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage content for web pages, social media platforms, and other publications
- Create compelling, engaging content publicizing church initiatives and opportunities, ensuring all platforms are current and informative
- Recommend and execute a defined social media strategy with verifiable and measureable objectives
- Assist the Peachtree Creative Team in establishing communication priorities and platforms based on the target audience and the event description
- Demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn and utilize new technologies and perform additional responsibilities as required
- Develop and employ SEO strategies and remain informed on evolving strategies
Required Competencies

- Ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously
- A passion for great storytelling and ability to relate emotional content in a responsible, empathetic manner
- A demonstrated high level of integrity, guided by a sound set of ethical principles
- Ability to learn and utilize website CMS, church database software, and email software such as MailChimp
- Experience with both still and motion picture photography is a preferred, but not required competency
