Qualifications
•
Candidate must have a growing & mature, demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ
•
Previous work and/or volunteer experience in working with elementary children’s ministry
•
High level of interpersonal and relationship skills essential
•
Ministry minded focus with the ability to cultivate a team spirit within the ministry and the Church
•
Superior verbal and written communication skills (grammar, writing and editing) as well as presentation skills required
•
Ability to develop, plan, and implement Ministry and Church related short and long-range goals, as well as to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
•
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
•
Willingness to abide by FBA’s social media policy and moral guidelines
•
Including a commitment to abstain from alcohol, tobacco and recreational drug use
Responsibilities
•
The Director, Children’s Ministry is responsible for the planning, organization, administration, and evaluation of a comprehensive ministry to children grades K-5
•
Plans, organizes, promotes, administers, and evaluates the educational program for the ministry
•
Coordinates various ministerial activities for children into a total program of Christian education (Sunday school, mission education, events, VBS or equivalent, music, etc.)
•
Develops and administers a plan to recruit, enlist and train volunteer leaders in the ministry
•
Participates in conferences, workshops, and professional organizations to continue personal education in the ministry
•
Directs the selection, adoption, and implementation of Sunday school curriculum consistent with the church’s objective and policies
•
Oversees the day to day operations of the ministry administration staff and volunteers
•
Prepares and manages the ministry annual budget
•
Creates an exciting first impression for kids and parents in the welcome area
•
Participates in Family Ministry and FBA initiatives
•
Performs other duties as needed
