Summary

This role works alongside senior leadership to ensure that the day-to-day business operations of the parish are carried out with excellence by the operations staff and volunteer teams.

Essential Functions

The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of day-to-day facilities management and stewardship._Manage all custodial contractors, vendors, and operations staff.

Work closely with Buildings and Grounds committee to implement repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements.
Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the campus.
Work toward improvements in energy efficiency and waste reduction._

  • Business support_Maintain, troubleshoot, and engage vendors as needed for IT solutions.

Assist in maintaining the church CRM and associated business solutions.
Oversee equipment leases and purchases to ensure excellence in productivity.
Assist Senior Leadership in strategic planning and management._

  • Event and outside rental support_Seek out and facilitate contracts with external rental events.

Assist in the coordination and support of internal events.
Assist the Rector in ensuring that build usage best fits the mission of the church._

Qualifications:

Education/Certification

Bachelor’s Degree. The ideal candidate may have other professional and managerial certifications.

Experience

Previous experience with Office 365, CRM and database systems, and project management highly desirable. Good communications skills and an orientation to client/customer service are requirements. Some light repairs and maintenance experience is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have experience which demonstrates a readiness to learn, adapt, and solve problems.

Physical Requirements

The role primarily requires sitting, typing, operating a computer and working with a phone. Some lifting may be included (e.g. office supplies, food and beverage supplies).

Work Environment

This role is highly self-directed. Interactions are broad, frequent, and often unplanned, making time management, organization, follow through and service orientation crucial. This role is also often in a position to represent the parish and, as such, should do so with the appropriate attitude of Christian service, discretion and confidentiality with sensitive topics and judgment when handling staff and parish issues. Some weekend and evening hours may be required periodically.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
