POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Technology Services (TS) is responsible for all aspects of technology strategies and operations. The Director will lead the Technology Services department and work with all departments to oversee and best utilize all technology to securely improve all aspects of ministry, services, and business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement by conducting comprehensive technology reviews and audits.
- Manage Technology Services which includes line of business applications, second and third party support services in a co-managed environment, technological and integration support for broadcast production environment, and provide mentorship to contractors working on campus.
- Oversee, evaluate, and improve current technology, hardware, software, network infrastructure, and phone system.
- Provide subject matter expertise and make recommendations to leadership for system improvements that are compatible with ministry strategy and goals.
- Work with TS staff to develop and implement departmental goals.
- Stay abreast of regulations, emerging technologies, and trends to ensure TS operates at optimum levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities utilizing strategic solutions.
- Work with leadership and TS staff to develop the TS department budget for needs, next steps, projects, equipment, services, etc.
- Communicate with leadership regarding costs, value, and risk-potential of TS projects.
- Create and implement TS policies, protocols, and standards.
- Oversee contract negotiations with TS vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Provide Red Carpet support to Office of the Pastor, being proactive in meeting needs and providing technology updates.
- Ensure Help Desk Tickets assigned to TS are processed first-in, first-out based on priority.
- Ensure staff needs are addressed expeditiously when hardware and/or software issues arise.
- In coordination with Human Resources, plan and implement ongoing training for staff in all areas of technology.
- Work collaboratively with Media Services to provide support for production and live streams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A growing and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Align with the beliefs, values, and mission of FBA
- Work the core ministry and business hours of Sunday – Thursday
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or relevant experience
- Ten years of experience in working an IT department
- Five years of experience working in IT management
- Impeccable IT knowledge and technical skills
- Superior leadership skills
- Strong management and conflict resolution skills
- Experience providing Apple MacOS and iOS support
- Thorough understanding of data management and administration
- High level of professionalism and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, public speaking, written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Attention to detail is critical and fundamental
- Experience building strategic plans, goals, and roadmaps in a multi-sourced support environment
- History of developing and executing plans and working well under pressure with good judgment
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment by setting priorities, managing time, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to prioritize, track and follow through on multiple, competitive priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience supporting media & live streams
- Technical certifications
- Project Management certification
- Graduate degree in IT Management, Project Management, Computer Information Systems, or MBA with an emphasis on Information Technology
