The Discipleship Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Discipleship Division. This person is responsible for working closely with the Membership Engagement and Spiritual Formation Directors, other staff, and volunteer leaders to support the Discipleship Division. This person has the ability to multi-task while maintaining complex schedules and providing administrative support as needed. This person is resourceful, creative, a good problem solver, and organized.

Responsibilities:

  • Input connect cards, pre-member applications, new members’ class attendance,

baptism attendance, guest visitation information, CAMP, and LIFE groups.

  • Oversee membership records in the database and perform scheduled database

maintenance to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility 

  • Merge duplicate records, separate profiles/contributions, etc. 
  • Update all changes to profiles, including addresses, phone numbers, marital

status, email, etc. 

  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on simple and complex people-related information  
  • Write concise, organized, and easy-to-read letters, or memos. 
  • Prepare certificates of completion, communicate with the team, and new members via mailing, phone, and email as needed 
  • Provide new members with registration information, links to enroll in the New

Members’ Class, and inform them of the church’s available ministries/life groups. 

  • Be the communication liaison for group facilitators, group members, and volunteers
  • Maintain Life Group information on church’s website.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on Life Groups providing registration information and links to enroll in current or upcoming life groups
  • Track and ensure accuracy of life group attendance
  • Maintain rosters of Christian Education Department rosters
  • Track and maintain virtual accounts for Life Groups ensuring accurate distribution and access for Life Group Leaders
  • Troubleshoot ACS and Realm issues for staff, volunteer leaders, and congregants 
  • Conduct ongoing Realm system training for all staff, ministry leaders, and congregants  
  • Implements a marketing/communication strategy that effectively markets the discipleship division
  • Schedule monthly department meetings and training
  • Plan, implement, and monitor projects and events as directed by the director
  • Develops and maintains a strong and productive relationship with both print and electronic media
  • Coordinate department marketing requests with the proper teams, keeping a pulse on the required elements for completion and evaluating results to ensure that departmental objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the church
  • Promptly respond to questions and requests for information
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in project management, administrative assistant, or coordinator
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Have a strong understanding of discipleship and ministry
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Canva, and Excel
  • Strong technology capabilities, capable of working with databases and programs
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain calmness when under pressure
  • Exceptional communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ
  • Passionate disciple of Christ- devoted to God’s Word, His Church, and His people

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Project management: 3 years (Preferred)
