· Proficient cleaning skills (vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, preventative, etc.)

Responsibilities:

Cleaning

  • Nightly monitor for weekday spills on the bottom floor.
  • Nightly dust mop the gym floor during Spring and Fall semesters.
  • Nightly walk the bottom floor for any loose trash and empty all trash bins.
  • Nightly clean each space on the bottom floor of the church.
  • Monitor and report on damaged ceilings, floors, doors, and walls.
  • Nightly sanitize high touch points (door knobs, push bars, handrails, desks, etc.)
  • Nightly wipe all dirt and grim off bathroom fixtures in each bathroom.
  • Vacuum all high traffic areas nightly and each room regularly (2–3 times per week).
  • Sanitize playroom equipment and classrooms the night after each event.
  • Mop all tile and bathroom floors the night after an event.
  • Weekly clean all windows (interior only).
  • On occasion, be available to do additional cleaning for special events.
  • Weekly walk the bottom floor and knock down all spider webs.

Supplies

  • Refill bathroom and kitchen soap dispensers the night before events.
  • Restock paper supplies in bathrooms (paper towels, toilet paper, etc).
  • Replace air fresheners when needed.
  • Inform the Operations and Facility Director when supplies are low.
  • Keep the supply closets organized.

Closing the Building

  • Secure and lock both vehicle gates each week night after 9pm and before 12am.
  • Turn off all lights in the entire building (top and bottom floors).
  • Check that all exterior doors and fire doors are secured and locked each night.
  • Monitor and report on any issues with the facility.

Maintenance

  • As needed, address light maintenance issues (fixing door hinges, replacing ceiling tiles, etc.)
  • Communicate any maintenance concerns to the Operations and Facility Director.
  • Occasionally help the Operations and Facility Director complete special projects when needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
