Purpose of the Job: The Special Events Director for The dReam Center Church of Atlanta is responsible for working with the Executive Pastor, Ministry Directors and all other church personnel in the strategic planning and implementation of all events for 100 or more attendees. The Special Events Director must be able to demonstrate internal team leadership while employing an entrepreneurial, collaborative and results oriented approach to lead and drive the production of high-quality events.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Manages consultants and vendors prior to and during the event to ensure flawless efficiency
Develops content for event correspondence, collateral materials, social media and web
Supports cross functional internal teams with the stewardship of host committees to secure members
Manages internal and external event volunteers before and on the day of the event
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as needed

Add: Serves as a liaison to coordinate details for the Weekend Worship experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

  • Decatur, GA 30034: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Events management: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
