OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

The Lead Outreach and Resource Coordinator has the primary responsibility to oversee intake procedures, assessment processes, and rendering of services. This person assesses the crisis and assists within the scope of the Ministry of Resources services and in accordance with MCS/CD policies. This person is also responsible for the coordination of services by the Food Distribution and Clothing Bank. The Lead Outreach and Resource Coordinator will also develop relationships and resources that will assist in meeting the goals and objectives of the Ministry of Resources.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To assist in fulfilling the vision and requirements for World Changers Church International.
  • Respond to general inquiries and correspondence regarding the outreach ministries.
  • Coordinates special events within the outreach ministry.
  • Oversee budget, ordering supplies, and maintain inventory for outreach ministry teams and activities
  • Provide or coordinate training to leaders and volunteers in each outreach ministry where needed
  • Coordinate food distribution for outreach ministries.
  • Meet with community leaders, school officials regarding outreach opportunities.
  • Attend community/agency forums (networking)
  • Attend appropriate training as required by the various outreach ministries.
  • Attend the annual USDA/TEFAP/ACFB food distribution training programs
  • Oversee the intake, assessment, and rendering of services for the Ministry of Resources
  • Implement procedures that result in excellent service to everyone served by the Resources Distribution
  • Develop relationships, resources, and processes for meeting the needs of those requesting service
  • Complete intake and application forms
  • Explain the financial review process
  • Determine if there are other agencies, resources, or programs that are better suited to meet the need
  • Submit intake application and recommended course of action for approval
  • Inform member of the outcome
  • Refer the individual to the appropriate agency if applicable
  • Serve as liaison between applicant and institution that the ministry will pay on the applicant’s behalf
  • Determine if the member requires Christian Advisement or Personal Finance Ministry and schedule as needed
  • Prepare all check requisitions and deposits for the Ministry of Resources
  • Maintain appropriate records and complete reports as needed
  • Oversee and maintain the daily record-keeping, preparing the weekly and monthly reports for Outreach and Ministry of Resources as needed
  • Evaluate and submit monthly reports of the food distributions. Provide statistical information.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate accounting records for Outreach.
  • Develop proposals and implement programs to increase donations
  • Assist with the development, revisions, and updates to the Resource Distribution Training Manuel
  • Facilitate visitation for outreach.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement annual outreach activities for Back 2 School, Fall Festival, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Toy Giveaway
  • Maintains all Ministry of Resources and Outreach files.
  • Prepares correspondence and reports, with some direction, for Executive Administrator of Outreach Operations signature.
  • May receive, resolve or refer complaints of church members to Executive Administrator of Ministry Affairs & Outreach.
  • Maintain the Project Timeline of scheduled events.
  • Assists in special assignments as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum Associate’s Degree desired

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two (2) years of administrative assistant experience
  • Experience in Case Management – Health and Human Services

SKILLS/ ABILITIES:

  • Good knowledge of general office practice and business English
  • Strong administrative and reporting skills
  • Strong oral and writing skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public
  • Ability to type a minimum 50 wpm
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • Office Equipment (telephone, copier, fax, scanner, printer)
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment/some outdoor activities and responsibilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35,568.00 per year
