According to Matthew 28:18-20, the Church (all believers) is God’s instrument to make disciples of Jesus
Christ among all nations. It is therefore vital for OM to develop and deepen relationships with local churches to
achieve the aim of seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached. The role of the
Church Connections team is to connect with US church leaders to determine the alignment of vision and ability of engagement in the areas of prayer, sending, and generosity. We do this through identifying and cultivating
relationships with church leadership, providing opportunities for involvement, and stewarding relationships to
see ongoing, mutually beneficial partnerships.
To advance the mission of Operation Mobilization, this position will engage with the 200 largest/fastest
growing US churches, to develop mutually beneficial partnerships that include financial generosity, mobilization
of church members and focused prayer.

Critical Few Objectives:
Establish a strategic and systematic focus on closing five- to six-figure commitments from large church relationships across the USA.
Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward qualified church prospects and donors, managing a portfolio of approximately 150 qualified large church relationships.
Conduct 150 +/- face-to-face visits annually with approximately 1/2 for qualification and cultivation, 1/4 for solicitation, and 1/4 for stewardship and renewal.
Meet or exceed million-dollar annual revenue goals for Global Mission Fund, Capacity Building, Strategic Pillar priorities, and strategic projects.
Strategically engage the CEO, Board members, and other senior OM leaders in the development process.

Major Responsibilities:
Contribute to the effectiveness of OM USA’s Church Connections efforts:

Establish a strategic and systematic focus on closing commitments of $50,000 to $500,000 from large church relationships.
Identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and retain a managed portfolio of 150 relationships with the largest and fastest-growing US churches obtained through external sources and personal networking.
Apply a moves management approach and document planned moves for all relationships in the managed portfolio.
. Annually solicit, negotiate and close five- to six-figure gifts and multi-year commitments, and meet million-dollar annual revenue goals.
Communicate persuasively OM’s ethos, vision, mission, and priorities.
Demonstrate a keen sense of curiosity for church partners – seeking to “crack the code” of what compels each church to give substantially by asking the right questions – and able to personally adapt as needed to meet the needs of partners.
Successfully align partner interests with our strategy and convincingly articulate the unique giving opportunity.
Guide the development of compelling proposals and oversee the development of creative presentations and reports (all are produced by professional writers on your behalf)

Credentials:
1. A committed Christian and in agreement with OM USA Statement of Faith and mission.
2. Passionate about OM’s vision to mobilize boldly, sow broadly and transform totally to see a vibrant community of Jesus followers within reach of everyone.
3. At least 5 years of significant prior transferable professional experience in a large church and/or mission agency leadership is required.
4. BA/BS required, MA, DMIN or MBA/CFRE preferred.
