Full Job Description
Saint John Neumann Regional Catholic School is looking for a full-time Middle Grades Language Arts teacher. Responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable of and support school’s mission and philosophy.
- Have working knowledge of school policies as they are articulated in the school’s handbooks.
- Demonstrate expertise in area of teaching.
- Serves on SST as appropriate.Network with other building personnel.
- Maintain student achievement records.
- Conduct parent conferences as scheduled and/or requested.
- Attends meetings as scheduled.Collaborates effectively with administrators, other teachers and parents.
- Maintain classroom in such a way that is conducive to learning.
- Maintain open communication with parents as defined in local handbook.
- Demonstrate care in lesson planning-execution.
- Secure appropriate permission for educational activities.
- Submit all external communications to the administration for approval prior to distribution.
- Make appropriate provisions for substitute teachers when necessary.
- Complete required school forms promptly.
- Represent school in a positive fashion.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Certification required for secular subjects.
- Prior teaching experience in Catholic School highly desirable.
- Evidence of specific coursework in education.
- Bachelor’s preparation in assigned content area.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Appreciation for and affection of children.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to be flexible.
- Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Computer literate.
Salary:
- As appropriate according to Archdiocesan salary scale.
Working Environment:
- Preference in hiring is given to practicing Catholics in full communion with the teachings of the Catholic Church. All teachers must show respect for the institutions of the Church.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $84,852.00 per year
