Qualifications

Commitment to share God’s love and word with children and families
•
Passion for and experience working with nursery-aged children and their families
•
Available to work Monday – Friday; 8:30a -1:30p
•
Available to be flexible with special events; ex: VBS early arrival time at 8am
•
Ability to and comfort in communicating appropriately and respectfully with families, peers and supervisors
•
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and be active (including sitting on the floor) with children
Responsibilities
•
providing loving care and developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 8 weeks to 3 years old
•
Plan, prepare and engage children in developmentally appropriate activities including music, art, play, active play and language expressions
•
Establish and maintain a classroom that is developmentally appropriate, safe, nurturing, healthy and in accordance with program policies and procedures
•
Set-up room before families arrive and clean-up room after the last child has left
•
Maintain required records on children, including observations and information about meals and activities
•
Assist children as needed with eating and toileting, including changing diapers in accordance with program policies and procedures
•
Communicate in a comforting, encouraging and positive manner with children
•
Communicate in an open an supportive manner with parents
•
Maintain appropriate communication and relations with other staff members and supervisors
•
Participate in yearly CPR/First Aid Certification class, provided by Peachtree Church
•
Participate and engage in professional development opportunities, provided by Peachtree Church
Benefits
