Objective
This position is responsible for the care of young children. This is a Monday through Thursday and Sunday position providing care for the children in the Parents’ Morning Out program and alternating Sundays.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide care and supervision for infants and toddlers ages six weeks to 4 years old.
• This position requires the ability to engage with children in a charismatic and uplifting way, with an ability to draw in and command their attention. Biblical knowledge or training, as well as the gift of storytelling, are positive attributes. Excellent people and communication skills are needed.
• Maintain safe play areas, engage with children, and monitor activities to ensure the well-being and learning of the children.
• Communicate with parents and volunteers, acting as a representative of Northside UMC.
• Performs other related tasks as requested by the Director or Assistant Director of Children’s Ministries, Senior Pastor, or others in leadership positions on our staff
• Be willing to complete the required annual training
• Comply with Northside United Methodist Church’s Nursery Guidelines and the Safe Sanctuary Policy
• Report incidents to parents and administrators immediately
• All other duties outlined during the orientation process
