\*Hopewell Parents Morning Out (PMO) Director Job Description\* \*Title \*Parents Morning Out Director \*Hours \*Mon-Thu. 8:30am-12:30pm \*Reports to \*Hopewell UMC Pastor \*Salary \*$20,000 \*Supervises \*PMO Teachers (Leads and Assistants) \*FLSA \*Exempt \_\*Job Summary: \*\_ The Parents Morning Out Director of Hopewell United Methodist Church plans, promotes, directs, and evaluates PMO and related work as required. She/he ensures that PMO provides a safe and inviting environment for the care of three and four year olds. \_\*Essential Functions and Responsibilities: \*\_ Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate PMO staff. Evaluate, develop, and implement marketing materials for PMO. Research and Plan new ideas for the curriculum. Coordinate PMO staffing schedule to ensure that PMO is staffed adequately. Directly supervise PMO staff. Call on substitute teachers when necessary. Maintain PMO staff compliance with requirements regarding prevention of child abuse and misconduct and other training requirements ad indicated (e.g. CPR training). Maintain/update program and staff records. Prepare annual budget and other routine/special reports as indicated. Assist Hopewell’s financial office with the preparation of financial records. Closely monitor each classroom and stand in as a teacher when necessary. Promote parental and staff understanding of the growth and development of children. Respond to program inquiries and conduct tours of the facility/program for prospective parents. \_\*Minimum Requirements: \*\_ College/Associates Degree Managerial experience (preferably in a multifaceted, church-related child care facility) Classroom experience with young children. Strong interpersonal skills. Marketing expertise (including use of social media). Strong computer skills and experience. Strong Christian faith background. \_\*Physical Requirement\*\_ : Position requires ability to lift, hold, and carry up to 45 pounds for short distances. Some mobility is also required for duties such as monitoring PMO staff and children in more than one room and/or on a playground. Position also requires work at a computer keyboard (typing, processing) and screen, sometimes for extended periods of time.
