Position Title: Production Director

Reports To: Worship Director

Position Purpose

The Production Director is directly responsible for all aspects of technically producing Victory Church ATL gatherings and events including audio, video, lighting, and media. The Production Director is also responsible for building and growing the production team, and managing equipment needed to support all events. The Production Director will add value through the use of technology and building strategies and solutions that meet the vision and goals of Victory Church ATL.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the Production Team volunteers and Audio Engineer
  • Work closely with the Music Director to ensure every gathering flow with a spirit of excellence
  • Film, edit and upload Sunday sermons to YouTube and Church app
  • Manage stage preparation which includes, stage setup and equipment placement
  • Ensure a proper sound, media, lighting, and video check are performed prior to each gathering
  • Recruit, train, and manage the production team to help with all backstage aspects of production and special events
  • Maintain inventory for all sound equipment; track equipment usage and formalize tracking system for any teams using audio or video equipment
  • Oversee the proper use of theater lighting for all gatherings and special events
  • Provide fast and effective solutions to all AVL hardware and software difficulties in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Assess future technology needs and work with the Executive Leadership Team with purchasing requirements and timelines
  • Schedule digital communications via Victory Church apps and other platforms

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in the following areas: 1) Medium to large venue gatherings as the lead front of the house engineer/technical director 2) Engineering and troubleshooting intelligent lighting fixtures 3) Overseeing camera operations in a live, multi-camera environment
  • Detailed knowledge of digital and analog audio systems and networks as well as large-format digital consoles
  • Detailed knowledge of hardware and software broadcast video environments, switchers with multiple camera processing, keyed computer graphics, and presentation software
  • Detailed knowledge of projectors, displays, and video transmission
  • Detailed knowledge of intelligent, theatrical, LED, and DMX processing of lighting
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move up and downstairs and ladders on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to fit into the Victory Church culture and the “church DNA”

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
