GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES

Sales and Events Manager

IMPACT CHURCH seeks a Sales and Events Manager to join the team. This team

member will embody all the attributes needed to offer radical hospitality! Responsible for proactively soliciting and servicing event business for Impact Event Center. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain and exceed sales goals while offering radical hospitality throughout the entire sales and event servicing process. This mission focused sales and event professional will also work with the operations team to deliver quality events and meetings.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries with the intention of confirming events and achieving sales goals
  • Conduct site tours with prospective clients
  • Conduct sales calls and prospect for new business
  • Coordinate the sales efforts to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues
  • Ensure accuracy of final invoices and provide bill review on completion of program or event
  • Comply with Impact Event Center’s standard operating procedures
  • Be fully versed in the facilities and also the capabilities of the competitive set
  • Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events
  • Identify need periods and complete a comprehensive program of sales activity to secure new and ad hoc business to minimize the impact of low activity periods
  • Attend trade and travel shows of various market area for event space
  • Encourage repeat business through offering excellent customer service and inquiry handling
  • Ensure online meeting partner websites are regularly updated and managed including photos, descriptions, and promotions
  • Ensuring all inquiries are recorded accurately in the CRM system

Hard Skills

  • 2 years of previous sales and event experience
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings
  • Proficient in utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to use e-mail and the internet

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
