Description:
PURPOSE

In alignment with direction from the Executive Pastors of Children's Ministry, develop a sixth grade/pre-teen ministry focusing on creating a healthy environment designed to meet the needs of growing sixth graders in the areas of personal discipleship, leadership, and identity in Christ.

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

In alignment with the overall church vision, provides leadership of weekend ministry activities relative to the sixth grade ministry team. This ministry will take place at all current and future Victory Church physical campuses.
Weekend responsibility will require rotational attendance at all physical campuses as needed for ministry observation and assistance.
Work with Central Ministry Victory Children's and Youth teams and other adult ministries at the campus level - recruit, train, mentor, and empower leader/volunteers to execute facilitation of weekend platform communications, small group ministry and longer term relational care for the students and families.
Use Interactive Learning Tools, and collaborate with the Central Childrens Ministry leaders to develop and implement an age appropriate, 9-month Apologetics/experiential curriculum that enables leaders to facilitate ministry moments which help Preteens develop a relationship with Jesus that is THEIRS, an understanding of the Scriptures that is THEIRS and a faith in God that is THEIRS.
Possess a clear understanding of Apologetics and the ability to contextually communicate and provide answers for faith based questions and dialogue. This will serve to equip the volunteers, parents and students to walk out their fatih in an "anti-faith" world.
Creation of weekend service flows which include: worship, ministry content, asking questions, reflection time and activation.
Provide resources and content to aid and partner with parents in connecting the spiritual formation of their Preteen with new emotional, relational and physical growth dynamics.
Develop serving opportunities for Preteen leadership development, within and outside of the ministry. This may include leading during a Preteen service, leading in an other external service setting and/or participating in a local outreach.
Collaborative creation and execution of the "Rite of Passage" cermony at the end of the 9-month ministry program. This includes ongoing communication with the parents realtive to their role in this and future life milestones.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 5 years of ministry leadership experience.
Working with, developing and leading teams is preferred.
Experience leading 6th graders/pre teens is preferred.
MAC and or Windows proficiency.
