Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and maintain relationships and media sales opportunities with local pastors/churches.
Identify advertising opportunities for Pastors, churches and ministries and develop growth strategies using radio broadcast and digital marketing
Direct the work of station staff on all event-driven church outreach activities.

This person will work closely with the Local Ministry Director, General Sales Manager and General Manager in developing new church relationships and interaction with clients. The ideal candidate will have a background/knowledge of ministry and the inner workings of churches. Additionally: this person will serve area pastors and their congregations by positioning Salem Media Group Boston as a visible, supportive, and empowering platform for their ministry; developing new ministry broadcast/digital programs to assist churches in enlarging their critical impact beyond their walls. This candidate will help direct the work of station staff on all event-driven church outreach activities.

Salem Media Group in Boston is looking for a radio and or digital savvy, highly motivated sales professional to join our advertising team selling our marketing solutions to local Pastors, churches, and ministries.

Our ideal candidate will be goal oriented, is a relentless hunter, driving to win new businesses, and has a track record of exceeding monthly goals. If you are passionate about selling, have a deep knowledge of radio and or digital advertising principles and products, and possess excellent presentation and closing skills - then we’d love to talk to you!

This position requires a heavy amount of prospecting and lead-development with churches. We pride ourselves on simplifying the marketing process for our customers while helping advertisers track the impact of their campaigns and understand their advertising options. In short, we help our churches grow.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of digital sales experience preferred
  • A Demonstrated record of success in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Knowledgeable of Radio and or Digital products and applications such as Search Engine Marketing, Audience and Search Retargeting, Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Management and Marketing, Digital Display, Website Development, and Email Marketing.
  • Strong skills in planning, communicating, organizing, and in developing customer relationships.
  • Proficient in prospecting high potential accounts and setting up appointments with key decision makers with the ability to secure at least five appointments weekly with qualified prospects.
  • Ability to develop a marketing plan that addresses client objectives and reaches the target audience.
