Basic Duties: Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the church office with a balance of humane, passionate, and collaborative customer service; support the Minister through a variety of tasks related to the organization and the lives of the people of the church; develop and implement communications strategies with FCC Milton’s key constituencies and assist the Director of Finance and Operations with some building and financial duties; remain light hearted in the mist of interruptions, crunch times, and conflicting priorities.

Administrative:Manage all basic administrative tasks of this fast-paced Church office allowing for constant flexibility with sensitivity and confidentiality in all matters including

  • Maintain information in church database to record contact information, membership, baptisms, deaths, etc.
  • Produce a variety of reports from church database including financial, contact, and statistical reports for a variety of purposes and committees.
  • Serve as liaison and coordinator for all rental of Church space and maintain Church calendar for events and space usage.
  • Maintain front door security access and update access codes.
  • Conduct Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) checks on all church staff and volunteers.
  • Order and maintain appropriate inventory of all Church supplies.

Communications: Market and communicate to promote positive public image among FCC Milton’s various communities by assisting in the coordination of church-wide design, message, and content generation, including electronic and print communications.

  • Manage creation, production, and dissemination of printed publications for education, development, and administration purposes (such as Sunday service bulletin, regular newsletter, annual report, brochures, event postcards, news articles & advertisements)
  • Collaboratively manage and coordination design, creation and update of web-content; responsible for content-related protocols to keep web site up-to-date.
  • Provide organization-wide e-communications support; manage F1 database, newsletter, emails, and updates.
  • Maintain an FCC Milton in-house style manual

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding computer skills are essential and include expertise with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with any of the following a plus: MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, Windows Live Photo Gallery, and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of social media applications and website editing.
  • Experience with databases: data input and maintenance, running reports, and writing queries
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Experience in a nonprofit organization preferred but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
