Job Description

Manages daily operations of the Office of Campus Ministry from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Provides administrative support to the Director of Campus Ministry and, when appropriate, to other department members. Handles phone calls, correspondence, reports visits, and special requests from students, faculty staff, and visitors. Serves as the office’s liaison to other internal BC departments, particularly other offices within Mission and Ministry, including the Mission and Ministry Service Center. Works collaboratively with people from other offices to support the mission of the university, Division, and department. Hires, trains, and supervises student workers.

Essential Functions:
. Prepares correspondence, speeches, reports, evaluations, and written drafts as required by the Director.

  • Handles phone calls, correspondence, and visits from various constituencies and maintains office inventory and relations.
  • Handles special requests and supports departmental functions, events, and projects.
  • Maintains various files about the department and works to ensure confidentiality of materials, etc.
  • Serves as office liaison to other BC departments and groups.
  • Works collaboratively with people from other offices to plan and implement major University events.
  • Manages hiring and training process for student workers.
  • Supervises student workers.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development training and education programs.
  • Creates an environment that values diversity and promotes teamwork and mutual collaboration.
  • Makes sound decisions, exercises good judgment, and examines existing issues in new ways.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $42,350 to $63,550; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements
 

  • Competent user of the software in MS Office and Web and database applications.

Accuracy and attention to detail when preparing correspondence and speeches from dictaphone.

Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills. Three to five years of administrative support experience are required.

A high school diploma is required.
