Primary responsibilities include: managing the daily operations of the Office of the Dean of Students, maintaining a welcoming office environment, creating confidential correspondence regarding student records, preparing materials and reports for meetings, managing staff members' calendars, taking notes at staff and student meetings, managing multiple budgets, maintaining student files and records within databases, hiring and supervising student workers, triaging calls and correspondence from a variety of internal and external constituents, coordinating hearing boards, and organizing meetings and special events. This position must also be able to effectively and professionally respond to students who are actively in crisis and upset students and parents who may be in the office or calling.

This position may also provide additional support to the areas of the office, including by meeting with students to address concerns, coordinating multiple aspects of student conduct hearings, coordinating the provision of approved accommodations for students with disabilities, and assisting with other projects as needed.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $42,350 to $52,950; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

2-3 years of administrative experience in conduct, student affairs, or compliance in higher education, or 4-6 years of administrative experience in a related environment
Requires strong supervisory and organizational skills
Understanding of college student life and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
Experience working with and maintaining confidential information
Office management experience preferred
