Campus Minister/Theology TeacherOpening beginning December 2022 JOB TITLE: Campus Minister/Theology TeacherREPORTS TO/EVALUATED BY: Chair of Theology Department; Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, Remainder of the 2022-23 School Year SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach 1-2 sections of theology (Scripture, Church History or Catholic Social Teaching), assist with Campus Ministry ABOUT NOTRE DAME CRISTO REY HIGH SCHOOL (NDCR) www.ndcrhs.org: Established in Lawrence, MA in 2004, NDCR is a private, Catholic, college preparatory high school currently based in Methuen, Massachusetts serving 300 economically disadvantaged youth. NDCR is part of the Cristo Rey Network, a growing association of 38 schools across the United States whose education model is built around the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), a unique and highly successful partnership with the business community. Through the CWSP, each of our student works five full days per month during the academic year at one of 75 companies throughout the Merrimack Valley, I-93/495 corridors, and southern New Hampshire. Assist in planning and delivering retreats, prayer services, liturgies, service projects and daily prayers. ?Teach 1-2 Sections of Theology, likely Scripture, Church History or Catholic Social Teaching ?Use developmentally and behaviorally age-appropriate tools, materials, activities ?Maintain all pertinent records in PowerSchool ?Create a safe, purposeful classroom environment that prioritizes learning for all students?Design and create appropriate lesson plans. Implement the Theology Curriculum aligned with the Cristo Rey Standards and USCCB framework ?Collaborate with other teachers, instructional leaders, and partners to ensure instruction is meeting the needs of all students?Assess students regularly, analyze data, and determine appropriate next steps for instruction?Build relationships and communicate regularly with students and their families to solicit input and share academic progressMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Teachers must possess: 1)Bachelors Degree in theology, campus ministry or a related field, masters degree preferred 2)Must be a practicing Catholic 3)Experience teaching in a Catholic high school strongly preferred 4)Willingness to promote the vision and values of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur 5)Knowledgeable, sensitive, and inclusive of all cultures, in particular those served by NDCR If interested, please send a thoughtful cover letter and resume to Dr.
