Faith Formation for Kindergarten Through Tenth Grade
- Develop and oversee the children’s and teen’s faith formation program.
- Find appropriate volunteer catechists.
- Assess and choose appropriate materials for classes that are in compliance with RCAB guidelines, including an approved safety curriculum.
- Communicate with parents on a regular basis.
- Oversee the celebration of the sacraments of first reconciliation, first communion, and high school confirmation.
- Organize the children’s altar server ministry (for just the 9:30 Sunday liturgy).
- Prepare appropriate bulletin announcements when necessary.
- Oversee the registration process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A confirmed and practicing Roman Catholic.
- A deep understanding of the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- A passion for transmitting the Catholic faith to younger people and a desire to nurture the spiritual formation of children and teens.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
- Demonstrated experience in appropriate computer technology and skills including Microsoft Office.
- An advanced degree in theology or a degree candidate preparing for ministry in the Catholic Church.
