The Director of Marketing and Media supports the work of mission advancement at the Harvard Catholic Center (HCC) by managing development and ministry communications needs through integration with effective marketing strategies. The Director of Marketing and Media reports directly to the Senior Chaplain and the Director of Advancement, works closely with the Graduate Chaplain and Undergraduate Chaplain, and consults with the Parish Administrative Coordinator as needed. Primary duties and responsibilities are outlined below.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Manage database of all HCC and Harvard Catholic Forum (HCF) constituents, keep constituent records updated, import new registrations.
Process donations and acknowledgment letters.
Support marketing and development efforts of St. Paul’s Catholic Community.
Collaborate with Director of Advancement to develop effective marketing strategies, print and email for all initiatives of the HCC/HCF and fundraising appeals.
Manage HCC/HCF websites with responsibility for producing and editing written and visual content as well as overall site design.
Design and publish HCC Annual Report each year.
Manage HCC social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube) and develop a social media strategy for a regular content upload schedule.
Utilize a combination of video, photo, and written skillsets to effectively convey the vision and mission (“the brand”) of the HCC.
Collaborate with Chaplains in sending out regular Undergraduate and Graduate ministry email updates to current students.
Help coordinate audio and video productions (YouTube, podcasts, etc.)
Assist at local alumni and benefactor receptions, special HCC events, and annual liturgical events.
Collaborate with HCF staff to ensure consistency in marketing and media with HCC.
Practicing Catholic and strong advocate for the mission of the Harvard Catholic Center and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Recent experience, whether personal or professional, in a campus ministry setting.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
2-5 years experience in marketing and media, preferably for a Catholic or non-profit organization.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Proficiency in graphic design.
Experience with digital marketing and photography.
Preferred knowledge of development and donor cultivation process.
Database management experience using Blackbaud’s “Raiser’s Edge” a plus but not required.
Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Availability to attend weekend and evening events.
