St. Raphael Parish is currently seeking a Part-Time Director of Music & Organist to serve its growing and dynamic Parish. The successful candidate should possess proficient organ/piano and conducting skills.
The Director will be responsible for selecting appropriate Liturgical Music and creating worship aids for 2 Liturgies per weekend (4PM Saturday & 11:30AM Sunday) He/she will be responsible for accompanying cantors, leading singing at Masses without a Cantor, and recruiting, leading and rehearsing with members of the volunteer choir.
The director will work to foster an environment for parishioners to develop and share their musical talents. The Director will also be responsible for playing all Holy Day Liturgies, Christmas, Holy Week, and any other Liturgies that require Liturgical Music.
In addition, the Director/Organist will accompany all Parish Funerals (75-80 per year) and Weddings (8-10 per year). Interested candidates should send resumes and references to saintraphaelmusicsearch@gmail.com
