This hands-on Facilities Manager will maintain and oversee the Tremont Temple Baptist Church grounds, the seven-story historic building, and assets to ensure that the workspace is safe, clean, and functional. The Facilities Manager will fulfill the day-to-day maintenance and cleaning requirements, engage and coordinate support services with outside contractors and building inhabitants. The Facilities Manager will inspect the facility and grounds to meet safety regulations, keeping all inspections and certificates current. The Facilities manager will recommend updates to the building and facade maintaining a good working relationship with abutters. Working closely with the Deacon of Building and Facilities, the Facilities Manager will negotiate contracts with service providers, and coordinate renovations and other capital projects. The Facilities Manager may supervise a janitorial/security support. The Facilities Manager will work with different members of our staff and ministry members and will play a key role on our team, ensuring that our facilities, technologies, and their security are well and efficiently maintained, and available to enable the Church to do the work that Christ has called us to faithfully accomplish.

The Facilities Manager is required to have at least a high school diploma and at least 3-4 years of on-the-job training from previous roles in the industry. A Facilities Manager candidates may also have completed facilities management coursework in a technical or trade school, such as HVAC or plumbing. The candidate may also have an associates or bachelor’s degree in facilities/building management or an engineering field. The successful candidate must agree with Tremont Temple Baptist Church’s statement of faith and church policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Required)
  • Supervising experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English and Spanish desirable (Preferred)
