Full Job Description
The Faith Formation Assistant helps the Grade 6-9 Director with the catechetical program for Medfield /Norfolk Collaborative (St. Edward the Confessor & St. Jude Parishes). This is a part-time position, up to 15 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist director with development and execution of curriculum for students in grades 6-9 (evaluate educational materials including textbooks, videos, etc.)
Develop communications for parents/guardians/volunteers
Help with sacramental preparation and retreat logistics
Collaborate with the parish staff to develop goals, objectives, and strategies for the faith formation program.
Assist with the ceremonies of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Assist with the Faith in Action (FIA), parish service planning committee.
Qualifications:
Practicing Catholic and fidelity to Church teaching.
Interest in sharing and learning more about Catholic faith
Computer skills including but not limited to word processing/Microsoft Office/Google suite.
Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability in oral and written communication.
Physical Performance Elements:
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
