Reports To: Music Director
Part time very competitive per liturgy compensation
Must be available Sunday mornings from 8:00-12:00 on a regular basis.
Opportunity to assist with additional Sunday morning Masses, Saturday Vigil Masses, retreats and sacramental celebrations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Understand and share the parish vision
Be readily available to coordinate calendars with the music director to meet the musical needs of the parish.
Be fully prepared for all celebrations as scheduled
Be a flexible ensemble musician
Minimal rehearsal required after initial orientation period
Musical requirements
Familiarity with contemporary praise and worship repertoire desirable
Musical theater or Classical experience useful
Ability to learn new repertoire quickly in various key
Ability to sight read new repertoire
Ability to harmonize or sing lead vocals
Ability to lead contemporary worship music when necessary
