RESPONSIBILITIES:
FAITH FORMATION
- Foster the faith formation of parishioners, serving as a specialist/consultant, along with the Parish Director of Religious Education, in areas of catechesis and faith formation of children and adults
- Assist with the training and oversight of volunteer catechists
- Collaborate with parish staff and volunteer leadership in the areas of Sacramental preparation, Family Liturgies, Seasonal Programs, Service and Outreach, and Scripture Studies
PARISH MINISTRY
- Provide training and leadership for Liturgical Ministers at Masses and Services to the homebound and assisted care facilities.
- Assist the Pastor and Parish Pastoral Council in long-range planning, goal-setting, objectives and action steps related to the parish mission
- Share responsibility with the Pastor and staff in representing the parish at Archdiocesan and regional functions
- Provide leadership in areas of spiritual programming and pastoral care of parishioners
- Other duties assigned by the Pastor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church
- Education, training, experience in theology, faith formation and liturgy
- leadership skills
- Strong verbal, written, and technology communication skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Compassionate presence
