The Holy Family Church in Duxbury, Mass., held a funeral Mass on Feb. 3 for the three kids allegedly killed by their mom on Friday.

USA Today said the news of the brutal killing shocked residents, many of whom expressed disbelief and anger toward the mother.

Mom Allegedly Strangles 3 Kids to Death

The kids' father, Patrick Clancy, reportedly endured something that no parent should ever endure when his wife strangled their three kids to death inside their home.

Investigators say the mother, 32-year-old Lindsay Clancy, killed her children through strangulation.

USA Today said the Duxbury community felt sadness, loss, and confusion as everyone attempted to comprehend how a mother could have killed her children. In the wake of the shocking event, some residents showed outrage.

The kids' father said many people expressed understanding towards his wife, who reportedly suffers from an ''undiagnosed condition.''

On Jan. 24, things reportedly went awry when Lindsay allegedly killed her three young children and attempted suicide afterward.

Police identified the children as Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months.

The Office of the District Attorney revealed that the two children, considered the oldest at the time, were pronounced dead that evening. The infant reportedly died on Friday.

Funeral Mass for Slain Kids

According to an MSN report, Holy Family Church pastor, Very Rev. Robert J. Deehan, baptized Callan Clancy in October 2022.

Reverend Deehan led mourners in a private funeral service on Friday for Callan and his two older siblings, Cora and Dawson.

MSN said Patrick Clancy had requested that the funeral be held in a familiar church for him and his family, the Holy Family Church.

Amid the city of Duxbury'sDuxbury's ongoing mourning at the loss of the young Clancys, Holy Family Church welcomed residents who wished to mourn for the victims. The news outlet said that the church began accepting mourners on Friday and until Saturday.

Even though Deehan said he didn'tdidn't know the Clancys all that well aside from the fact that they are among his parishioners, he expressed solidarity with the Clancy couple.

Reverend Deehan has seen Patrick many times since the night of the murder. He also visited Lindsay the next day at a Boston hospital, where doctors said she was critical.

Community Rallies Behind Family

The same report said Duxbury citizens rallied behind the Clancy family. Two nights after the murder, Holy Family had a vigil that drew around 500 residents.

As of Friday, the Clancys' GoFundMe campaign had received close to $1 million. The campaign aims to raise $250,000 toward helping Patrick Clancy settle medical expenses, funeral costs, and legal counsel.

Reports said Lindsay faces murder and strangulation charges concerning the kids' murders.
